The championships are main tournaments in the game. Your team can earn virtual money only from the matches in the tournaments.
The country, to which belongs your team, also is defined by the championship in which it plays. To get to one of the championships you should participate in corresponding qualification and to win the right to be promoted. The qualification tournaments are available for newbies and for the teams relegated from championships.
